    Well, this is one of the most useful japanese learning channels on the whole youtube. Thanks for doing your best. With Risa videos are getting much lovely to be learned(thanks to her charming appearance, haha, sorry, I had to).

      my wish for christmas this year was 1. that japan did not use kanji anymore, instead use hiragana and katakana to write words, and 2. start using space between words. These are 2 big stoppers for me to learn this language fast 🙂

      And using google translate makes everything even more hard to understand . Just take kanji for Japan. Its “日本” and if you look up 日, then it means “day”, and 本 means “book”. So its a diary? No. Diary is “日記”… “日” can also mean sun (so 2 completely different meanings) and “本” can mean origin.. so sun origin.. which is “nippon” in japanese.. but in southern china, its pronounced “Ji-pang”, which sounds kind of like “japan”.. so basicly everything is way too unlogical for my brain.. not sure how I will learn this :/

    I’m interested about Japan, and started learning Japanese with my own way from about two months ago. So i’ve known hiragana and katakana, umm but… kanji is very difficult ㅠㅠㅠㅠ I’ve known about.. fourty japanese kanji and of course i’m still learning for that :”). I want to learn more!!, and someday i want to speak fluent Japanese! ??? (and English too) ㅠㅠㅠ. I’m 14yo and i want learning more more and more about Japan. I’ll learn through this channel too. Thank you! ???✨

      @Mẫn Nhi Coconut learn the basic (& easy) ones from lists, I.e
      山 -> Mountain (see the shape?)
      木 -> Tree
      田 -> Rice Field
      人 -> Person

      Some kanji are combinations, which can be a helpful mnemonic:
      人+木 = 休 -> Person + Tree = Resting, as in person is leaning against the tree.
      and don’t bother with the complex kanji

    video two of basic vocab down, 41 to go lol. Love having Risa as my Japanese Teach. Been studying Japanese for about almost two months now. She has made Japanese easy imo. Funny thing, I subscribed to their Frenchpod101, Germanpod101, Chinesepod101, Spanishpod101, Russianpod101, Hungarianpod101 channels. I am shocked they have so many channels dedicated to helping us folks learn languages. I think after a year or 2 of getting Japanese basics down ( depending how quickly I learn Japanese, but am not in a rush ), I am gonna move to Chinese probably. I wanna learn the hardest languages for an English speaker first xd. Do or do not, there is no try.
